Sustain.ALL · Transformation Hub · TU Berlin

Every climate project on campus, measured on one honest scale.

TU Berlin runs dozens of sustainability initiatives — but no two are counted the same way. Sustain.ALL turns each one into audited tonnes of CO2e, a real cost per tonne, and SDG reach, so funding follows evidence instead of the loudest pitch.

No pledges. No press releases. Measured impact.
The Impact Score · 0–100

One number, five weighted questions — and the maths is on the table.

Each project earns an impact score from five components. We publish the weights so a €5 M grant and a €60 k pilot can be compared on the same terms.

30Carbon Measured tCO₂e reduction against a documented baseline, using a fixed emission-factor library.
25Cost Cost per tonne abated (€/tCO₂e) — how far each euro of funding actually goes.
15SDG reach Breadth and depth of alignment across the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
15Lock-in avoidance Does it prevent future high-carbon commitments, or quietly reinforce them?
15Data quality How solid is the evidence — metered readings and audits, or estimates?
Worked example · Rooftop PV Retrofit
79
/ 100

Scored 82·0.30 + 74·0.25 + 58·0.15 + 88·0.15 + 90·0.15. Strong carbon and rock-solid metered data lift it; moderate SDG breadth holds it back. Every input is traceable on the project page.
